This blog's name: "Eyes, Ears, and Conscience" comes from Kurt Vonnegut's novel, Breakfast of Champions. In it, he writes:
"What is the purpose of life:
to be the eyes
the ears
and the conscience
of the Creator of the Universe."
I believe that this is my job description as a future rabbi,
as a Jew, and as a human being.
I believe this this is everyone's job description.
"The day is short and the work is great."
